Angola Visa Medical
When travelling to Angola, certain visa types require a visa medical examination. This medical ensures that travellers are healthy enough to enter the country and do not carry communicable diseases, such as tuberculosis. Angola’s visa medical typically involves a straightforward process, including a physical examination, blood tests, and a chest X-ray to check for TB. It is essential to confirm specific requirements based on your visa type, as these may vary.
Travelling Information
When visiting Angola, it is important to plan ahead for safety and health. Travellers should ensure they have a valid visa and any required vaccinations, including yellow fever, which is mandatory. Malaria (Plasmodium falciparum) is prevalent, so preventative measures like antimalarials, mosquito nets and insect repellent are crucial. Angola's official language is Portuguese, so learning basic phrases can be helpful.
One of Angola's most iconic places to visit is Kalandula Falls, located in the Malanje province. These majestic waterfalls, among the largest in Africa, are a breathtaking natural wonder, surrounded by lush landscapes. Another notable destination is Miradouro da Lua (Viewpoint of the Moon), a stunning geological formation resembling a lunar landscape, offering panoramic views of Angola’s coastline.
