This service offers a convenient option for individuals who want to have a specific blood test.
We recommend scheduling an appointment with our doctors as we are committed to ensuring the correct ordering of tests and conducting a clinical assessment to better interpret the results in their proper context.
This service is not for emergencies. If you are unwell please see a doctor. Nor is this service is for anyone under the age of 18 years old.
We recommend this service if your doctor has specifically instructed you to undergo these tests and is overseeing your care, as they are capable of interpreting the results for you. Please see the step by step instruction below.
The following tests are available. If you require another test, not listed here, please contact us. The turnaround time listed regards the normal working week, and does not include weekends.

If you are not aware of the blood test you need please email us: info@londonhspractice.co.uk, outlining your requests. We will reply or contact you directly to discuss your needs. Do not book anything until you are sure and agree to the costs.
If you know which blood test you need, please write which test(s) you require in the box “Reason for visit” at the end of the booking page, in order for the clinic team to have your paperwork ready for you and to calculate the total cost.
Book an appointment for your blood test, choosing the “Appointment: Blood test”, on a day and time that suits you.
Please ensure that you fill in your details accurately including your full name (and title), full postal address, mobile number and email address. If you fail to fill out your contact details (full name, postal address, mobile number and email) correctly we can not guarantee your service. We will not be liable for any delays in your results being sent to you.
Pay the £40 deposit online. You will receive a confirmation email immediately and a reminder 48h prior.
The confirmation and reminder email will contain a link to the mandatory disclaimer document. Please click on the link and complete the disclaimer. Without completing this your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit voided.
Attend the clinic at the chosen time and day.
Pay the outstanding amount to our reception staff who will then arrange for your blood to be taken by the Laboratory staff.
An email of your results will be sent with any comments from the doctor if there are any pressing abnormalities regarding them. Please consult your doctor regarding these results.

If you have made any error you will need to email us immediately (info@londonhspractice.co.uk) before your appointment date. We will not be liable for any uncorrected mistakes.

Please check your email spam / junk folder. Please contact us if you are unable to locate it, as it might be that you have entered an incorrect email address on the booking page or that your computer has a firewall preventing our emails from entering your inbox.

You will be asked at the reception desk to do this if this is not completed.Please ensure that you use the same details with which you made the appointment. Failing to do this will render your appointment invalid.

This depends on the test requested. Please see each individual test panel. Occasionally there are delays in the laboratory which we are not accountable for. We will not be able to refund in these instances. The times and days given are only those during the working week.

Yes. A late cancellation fee of £40 (the deposit) is chargeable if you cancel in under 24 hours from your appointment time or if you fail to attend.

The blood is taken at a local laboratory who have dedicated phlebotomists to take the required blood tests. This ensures that the correct bottles are used and that the blood is taken directly to the laboratory staff. This prevents any delay which can occur with couriers. The laboratory is a 4-minute walk from the clinic in Wimpole Street.

London Harley Street Practice provides blood testing services to patients who wish to self-refer for a blood test. The service is designed for:
People who are healthy and simply wish to carry out certain blood tests.
People who are currently under the care of a qualified clinician and have been asked by them to undergo their directed blood tests.
Please be aware that this service is not a replacement for a diagnostic medical consultation. If you do have underlying health problems you MUST consult a qualified medical clinician.
This service is not for anyone under the age of 18 years old. If you have booked in and we discover that the patient is under the age of 18 we reserve the right to cancel the appointment. Nor is this service is for emergencies. If you are unwell please see a doctor.
Our doctors will review your blood results, noting any abnormalities and informing you via email of these, however, they can not be responsible for providing you with a clinical diagnosis. Neither are they in the position of commenting on your general health as a whole, this requires a full consultation including examination. Our blood testing service is not intended to be a replacement for a medical consultation with a registered and qualified medical practitioner. If you have any concerns about your health and the results obtained we strongly advise you to undergo a consultation with a UK registered and qualified clinician.
If for example, you undergo a hormone profile blood test and the results are not in the normal range, our Doctors will communicate to you via email about this. Any other current, underlying, or undiagnosed and untested conditions will remain untested and undiagnosed. London Harley Street Practice accepts no responsibility for patients electing to have blood tests on a self-referral basis without seeking the advice of a registered medical practitioner.
