Japan Immigration Medical

When travelling to Japan, certain visa types require a visa medical examination. This medical ensures that travellers are healthy enough to enter the country and do not carry communicable diseases, such as tuberculosis. Japan’s visa medical typically involves a straightforward process, including a physical examination, urine tests, and a chest X-ray to check for TB. If a blood test (such as blood group) is required by your company or organisation please contact us to confirm how much extra this might be.

Travelling Information

Japan is renowned for its cleanliness and efficiency. The country is very safe, but it would be wise to have travel insurance. English is spoken in most tourist areas, though learning a few Japanese phrases can be helpful.

The most iconic place to visit is Mount Fuji, a symbol of Japan’s natural beauty. Kyoto’s temples and shrines are also must-see cultural highlights.

Tests Included

  • Physical examination

  • Urinalysis

  • Chest x-ray to exclude TB infection
